Nisei Week part 2 segment 5: More Grand Parade Pictures

More pictures from the parade, including an appearance by Rome Kanda, host of Majide in "I Survived a Japanese Game Show"...

This group won some form of community service award, though I'm leery of any group that uses the word brotherhood in the name (but they did have a Segway, so it must be good...).

More performers and beauty queens...

And a display of the preferred mode of transportation for the modern samurai...

More performances and the organizers of Nisei Week on a float celebrating the 50th anniversary of Los Angeles and Nagoya being sister cities...what I find interesting is since they are celebrating an anniversary of Los Angeles being the sister city of the home of Toyota, this parade mainly used Fords and Chevys (and some really nice classic cars and a double decker bus) to carry special guests...

And finally before the end of the actual Grand Parade, the car show I couldn't find (I can't believe someone tricked out a smart car) and the Nisei Week Queen and Court...

And the final entry for part 2 will be the Kodomo (children's) Nebuta that followed immediately after the Grand Parade...should be ready in a few hours...
