It's been a year since I posted that theory, so ideas change (I even went to a crossplay/genderbend gathering during Anime Expo 2011)...I believe the motivation for crossplay is the same as that for cosplay...to express an affinity for a character.

But there are some rules we hold each other to and using the ladies room is a no go.

Convention staff seem always full of drama. (Or maybe I've just been unlucky for the one's I've worked at?) That volunteer comment does seem ridiculous though, while he doesn't seem like a con-nut (which is a good thing IMHO) the idea of people who work for free has to be attractive. They sure don't talk like a non-profit though. :-/

My only issue with the possible FMP adaptation is the whole Efron thing... Not staying perfectly accurate isn't a deal breaker for a comedy IMHO.
